In CBC’s new television show ‘Still Standing’ which premiered on June 23rd, 2015, Comedian Jonny Harris begins a journey across Canada to explore small towns on the ropes and to meet the people who remain fiercely proud to call these towns home. By immersing himself in the adventure of their everyday lives, Jonny comes to understand their passion for these places. In each community, he mines enough material to put on an original stand-up comedy routine for the locals. In the process, Jonny shows us that no matter what types of hardships people may face in this vast country, Canadians love to laugh at themselves.

Jonny Harris is a Newfoundland Actor, Writer, and Comedian. Jonny’s comedy has been showcased in every medium and at the highest levels across the country.He has been a staff writer for the award-winning This Hour has 22 Minutes and was a contributing writer and star of Mary Walsh’s Hatching, Matching and Dispatching. Jonny currently plays Constable George Crabtree on CBC’s, The Murdoch Mysteries, for which he has garnered two Gemini nominations for best supporting-lead in a dramatic series.

Jonny’s stand-up special for Comedy Now! earned a Canadian Screen Award nomination. As a stand-up comedian, Jonny tells of his dating problems, growing up in Newfoundland, the difference between soccer and hockey players, and much more. Originally from Pouch Cove, Newfoundland & Labrador, Jonny is the perfect person to take audiences on a tour of small-town Canada.
