Affectionately known as the "humorous bard of the piano", Pianist, Humorist, Entertainer and composer Jan Janovsky has broken the mold of the traditional pianist. From Rhapsody to Ragtime, Classical to Jazz, a touch of vocals and even Popular music along with his trademark comedic Polkas, Jan cooks up a listening feast for his worldwide audiences. Often confused as the great great grandson of Victor Borge, Jan Janovsky reaches the rare artistic feat of critical acclaim and wide spread audience enthusiasm with his clever wit and music sensibility.

Winning many classical awards in his younger years and competing at the national level, Jan Janovsky would go on and win the Best Young Artist in Toronto in 2002. This young lion's early beginnings include two degrees, one in classical and the other Jazz Performance enabling him to be versatile and tasteful in every genre. He has worked with some of the best commercial and Jazz Orchestras in Canada including Don Thompson, Al Kay and Juno award winner Hilario Duran. Expanding his palette he has also worked with R&B legend Kenny Marco of the super group Blood Sweat And Tears. He later traveled worldwide accompanying the greatest Cabaret stars such as Lorna Luft, Tommy Morgan and Martin Lass to name a few. This wealth of experience has led to the creation of a solo career that spans all genres of music and a musical humor that is charming and colorful.

Jan can do it all! Solo Piano cocktail music can be combined with his trademark after-dinner show for a full evening of musical and comedic entertainment.
