Joey Elias, started doing comedy 11 years ago after losing a bet to his friend. Well things have worked out pretty good since then.

 

In his 11 years experience, Joey has appeared 6 times at Montreal's International Comedy Festival "Just For Laughs". His two gala performances have been televised. Joey has also appeared on his own Canadian National TV special "Comedy Now!". Joey now travels all across North America, headlining clubs and making numerous TV appearances. Joey is now spreading his horizons into the realm of acting. With appearances in "The Art of War", "Redeemer" and in the upcoming film "Tomorrow" starring Dennis Quaid.

 

The Hour said; "His material is sold by a smooth gregarious personality, grafted onto the body of a class clown!". And the Montreal Gazette simply stated about Elias, "Brilliant!". A big man, with big shoes and big talent, guaranteed to deliver big laughs. 

In today's fast-paced world, Joey Elias stands on the side of the road, watching in a calm, Zen-like fashion, pointing out life's absurdities. From Oprah to body piercing, his outlandish views have earned him critically acclaimed appearances in the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, Global TV's The Best of Montreal, the Wesley Snipes film The Art of War, and George Clooney's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. After last summer's Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Joey was chosen by two out of three comedy aficionados in the Montreal Gazette as the act they would most like to see again.
