Marty Hanenberg started his career in Calgary, Alberta as a member of The Loose Moose Theatre Company. There he displayed his improv skills by being part of championship theatresports teams in tournaments across the country. He has shared the stage with members of The Kids In The Hall and Whose Line Is It Anyway? and was a co-founder/member of the sketch troupe Comic Relief..

Marty Hanenberg has incorporated his improv skills into his stand-up act, giving it a fresh, new twist every time he walks on stage. Marty Hanenberg's ability to adlib and poke fun at life’s foibles makes him a crowd favorite wherever he performs. In addition to headlining comedy clubs and festivals from coast to coast, he has performed hundreds of shows for major corporations. His clean, spontaneous and impromptu humor is perfectly suited for his corporate clients, which include Westjet, The RCMP, ATCO Canada, Avon, Canadian Tire, CIBC, as well as many other national companies. He has showcased his talents at countless community functions and fundraisers. Marty can also customize a show for your group, industry or function, or pose as a corporate imposter, with material specifically prepared for your event.

As an actor, Marty has appeared in many productions and commercials, including Rat Race, Honey I Shrunk The Kids The TV Show, A Problem With Fear, and has been featured on The Comedy Network, Comedy At Club 54 and The Kokanee Komedy Spotlite. He has shared the marquee with such headliners as Mike MacDonald, Brent Butt, Mike Bullard, Jerry Doucette and Mark Price of Family Ties fame.
