Maynard Morrison has performed his character comedy on TV, radio and for live audiences across the country, sharing stages with Canadian greats Sylvia Tyson, Rita MacNeil and the Rankin Family.  His characters, reflecting a Cape Breton-eye view of everyday matters, are consistent favorites wherever he appears. 

An accomplished writer and director, Maynard Morrison has directed his wife, Bette MacDonald, in two sold-out Eastern Canadian concert tours and most recently co-starred with Bette in her new show, No More Mrs. Nice Guy. 

Maynard has been a featured performer in the Ha!ifax Comedy Fest since its inception in 1995 and has been seen in that role by over a million viewers on the CBC national network. He has also been a frequent guest on the CBC radio comedy show, Madly Off in All Directions.  He recently starred in an episode of the satirical TV series, Liography.
