Improviser, stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and emcee—is there anything that Roman Danylo can’t do? When the title of ‘auctioneer’ can also be found on his resume, the short answer is no. The long answer is that you should book Roman whenever you need an evening of side-splitting laughter.

Roman knows comedy. He’s been eating, breathing, and living comedy since the late 80s, when he first got his start in the Calgary comedy scene. After a few years working with local theatres and improvisational groups, Roman headed further west to make Vancouver his home. Since the early 90s, he’s been commuting to Toronto and Los Angeles for work.

It’s quite a commute, and he does it often, busy as he is. As most comedians in Vancouver end up doing, Roman began honing his acting chops. Success came early for Roman, and it wasn’t long until he started getting roles. You may recognize him from his appearances on the television shows Outer Limits, Corner Gas, Made In Canada, Sliders, Off Limits, and NBC’s Late Friday. He’s also appeared in Duets alongside Gwenyth Paltrow and Happy Birthday, which starred John Goodman.

His career isn’t only just focused on Hollywood. He still spends much of his time working the Canadian comedy circuit, delighting audiences with his silly and physical comedy style. He’s performed in the Ha!ifax Comedy Festival, The Comedy Networks’ Just For Laughs Improv Championships, and was host for CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival. After a brief stint on The Holmes Show, Roman earned his own sketch comedy series on CTV in which he starred called Comedy Inc. It went on for 5 very successful years, and his performance earned him two nominations for a Gemini Award. In 2011, he returned to CTV to perform his second Comedy Now special.

When he isn’t busy gracing your TV screens, Roman fills his time entertaining the biggest names in the corporate world. With his impressive resume behind him, it can be enough for most companies to book.
