Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple
Traveling From: Victoria
Fees:$2,501 - $5,000
Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple are a comedy music duo performing sixties tribute baby boomer music. Their musical tributes, unpredictable and zany antics, and high calibre musicality, are gut achingly funny.
Experience: Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple are music veterans who have been performing for decades, and are celebrated entertainers in their home region of the Pacific Northwest. As long time friends, Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple have great respect for each other’s talent over the years and had even occasionally shared the same stage. It wasn’t until they actually played together as a band that they stumbled upon the unexpected compatibility of harmony, musical preferences and humour.
Kenny Shaw has received the BC Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year Award for four consecutive years, well loved by audiences for his high-energy antics, animated story telling, and very large hat. Kenny’s professional showmanship has also made him a familiar personality as MC for many charity and community building events. He has opened for artists Brooks & Dunn, the Doobie Brothers, Travis Tritt, and Billy Idol and has gained the love of fans across the continent from stages at The Mirage in Las Vegas to the community halls in Inuvik.
In the talent rich Pacific Northwest Brian Temple has been busy adding to the pulse of the thriving downtown nightlife for years, engaging audiences in the club circuit and gaining the reputation as a sought after session player. He is a multi-instrumentalist equally at home playing percussion, bass, or guitar and has shared both stage and studio with recording artists Farmer’s Daughter, George Fox, Julian Austin and Suzanne Gitzi. Brian’s high-energy comedy, sterling vocals, harmonies, and amazing musicianship add a touch of brilliance to this duo’s musical tributes.
Performance Style: Wacky musical comedians Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple have merged their unpredictable and zany antics to form a high-powered comedy duo aimed directly at the funny bone of baby boomer audiences. Having the outrageous class clown antics of Kenny unexpectedly spun around by subtlety of Brian’s dry didn’t see that coming humour, has brought a whole new dynamic to what they both enjoy performing: parodies, skits, and hits by the harmony duos of the fifties and sixties.
Why hire Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple? The humour and parody of this musical comedy duo is outrageously funny, and wielded with great skill. Kenny and Brian deliver an act tailored for all occasions that will appeal to audiences from all walks of life. Their hilarious floor show has brought standing ovations from sold out shows, and there are plenty more halls, country clubs, festivals and fairs on the horizon. Their musical tributes are not only gut achingly funny, but delivered with the kind of high calibre musicality you’d expect from more serious concert musicians.Although there are plenty of unexpected laughs waiting, one thing is sure – you’ll never remember the harmony duos of the Baby Boomer generation the same way.

“On behalf of the Campbell River Shrine Club, I would like to thank you and the entertainers for the excellent Kid’s Variety Show in Campbell River on May 18th. I talked to many people of all ages after the show and they had nothing but good things to say about the performance of all three entertainers. Kenny Shaw had the kids involved right from the start. Michael Harrison was incredibly entertaining with his ventriloquism and involving the audience, both on stage and in the audience. Shawn Watson and his beautiful assistant kept the audience on the edges of their seats with his magic and illusionism. Each of them involved the children around the front of the stage to the entertainment of everybody.”
Gordon Clarke, Campbell River Shrine Club
