Terry McGurrin is the only performer to have
been nominated for Canadian Comedy Awards in three separate categories: Stand Up
Comedy, Television Writing, and Television Directing. He is also the first
comedian to have taped 3 separate Comedy Now Specials for CTV and The Comedy
Network.
Currently, Terry McGurrin is a co-star and writer on the sketch comedy show Comedy Inc.
which can be seen on CTV and The Comedy Network and won the prestigious Gold
Medal for "Best TV Variety Program" at the New York Television Festival and was
recently nominated for “Best Ensemble Cast” at the 2007 Geminis.
Terry McGurrin performs stand up comedy all over the world. He has been everywhere from
the deserts of the Middle East to the Alert Station at the North Pole,
performing in every situation imaginable. He has shared the stage of the 3000+
seat Hummingbird Centre with Stephen Wright, played to a packed house at Massey
Hall, and has performed to the Canadian, German, Dutch, and American Forces in
Military hangers at various "undisclosed" locations as well as hundreds of
Corporations.
Wherever he is and whomever he is standing in front of, he can make them laugh.
On top of his varied television credits, Terry also has a long list of voice
credits in the world of animation including Little Bear, Medabots, Atomic Betty,
Pandalian, Wayside School and Totally Spies. He is currently a writer and the
voice of Jonesy on the Teletoon network's award winning animation series 6Teen.
