After two years of touring with the band Green River, Canada's first Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute act, Mike McDonald took a few years off to work in the studio and re-discover his blues roots.  In 1988, Mike received a call from a Toronto agent, telling him that Green River had disbanded; leaving a hole in the market that he felt sure Mike could readily fill owing to his experience in developing Green River's line-up and following, back in 1985.  Early in 1989, The Bayou Boys went on the road, and haven't looked back. In the past 12 years, the band has toured all over Canada, eastern Canada being one of their strongest markets. They have recently ventured into the American casino market as well. The Bayou Boys are one of the Favorite "Imported" acts in Finland, returning there every five months for six weeks of constant touring.  The Bayou Boys are fortunate in that Mike has completed a home studio. This has enabled the band to record, both for rehearsal, as well as producing a cassette tape and CD for promotional use.  Mike's voice has often been compared to Fogerty's and is backed by strong vocal harmonies. The stage setting and costumes worn by all band members will bring the audience back to early 1970's peace revolution and take them right through to "Rock N Roll Girls". The Bayou Boys will have the crowd diving under the tables for cover, play drums on a helmet-wearing member of the audience, not to mention the singing along with the band every where they go.
